Writing about school

Our school is a big and old fashioned secondary school. We can use our teachers' first name. We can wear the uniform only the days that we play sport: Tuesdays. We don't have a lot of rules. I think the most important is that we aren't allowed to use the mobile phone in the school.

We can choose some subjects to study like French or Theathre. We have to do compulsory subjects like Maths, Science, Catalan, Spanish or English. We have to study hard every day.

We divide our school year into 3 terms. We only have one timetable and it is the same every term. Devending on the day we start at a different time. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday we start at 9 and finish at 5 o'clock. But on Wednesdays and Fridays we start at 8:30 and finish at 3. I prefer Wednesdays and Fridays because I can spend the time doing homework or other activities.

A birthday to remember

It was my birthday, so I invited some friends to my house.

It was a cold day. It had to be a calm day although it was not. When my friend Laia was arriving to my house a bird pooped on her head. Laia had her foot bandaged too. Poor! But that wasn’t all! We were playing around the pool when Joan, my friend Laura's brother, fell at the pool! He hadn’t extra clothes and we have to give some.

Fortunately, we had a more calm ending. We eat cake and we had a fantastic dinner. We never forgot that day!

WRITING ABOUT A STORY THAT ENDED WELL

Last summer, when we stayed in Banyoles, the days of the festival (à)phònica, Oques Grasses, my favorite band, came to Banyoles! And of course we wanted to go. We created a group of “fans” that wanted to go there.

At the beginning everything was fine, we had to go with some friends. But suddenly people had plans: family dinners, rowing competitions, etc. And only  two persons!!! And go to a concert as well... We didn’t have much time so we had to think came in the end. So we invited some “no-fans” friends.

Finally, everything was great! With the “no-fans” and other fans we finally managed to go. So, we were very excited and it was the best concert that we ever went!

In recent years, many young people think that is worse go shopping with family than with friends. So, what are the advantages and disadvantages of this?

I think one advantage of family shopping is that you have more money for spend than if you’re alone. So, this is the second advantage, you aren’t alone! You can also have a different opinion and they give you advice. This is another good point.

However your family aren’t your friends and sometimes is boring for you go with them because you don’t have the same relation. Another disadvantage is if you go with family you have more possibilities to spend more money and this is not good for the familiar economy.

To conclude, I think is better go shopping with family but personally I prefer go with friends because I think that they opinion is more important than my family’s  because we have the same age.
